On Thursday, June 26, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver recognized Isaiah Austin as an honorary draft pick by calling his name on behalf of the league. The two shared a touching moment up on stage, which immediately became the highlight of the night.
Just a few days before the draft, Austin (who was considered to be a first-round pick) was diagnosed with a career-ending disease called Marfan syndrome.
Who would’ve thought that Biggie lyrics and the Mona Lisa portrait would make the perfect couple? Two artists who go by the names of Gisella Velasco and Toni Potenciano, that’s who!
The duo’s recent, clever photographic series paired together classic, famous paintings and portraits with popular hip-hop lyrics. The series is titled “Fly Art,” and Velasco and Potenciano started it back in 2013.
If you look closely, you can see that each of the lyrics reflects what’s going on in the actual portrait.
