Job Description

As a Front-End Designer for RoverTown your playground is our software suite– RoverCore™, RoverTown™, RoverLink™.  Release your creative power on millions of students, business owners, and university leaders.  This is an opportunity to design something important in a culture that embraces creative freedom.

This role reports directly to the CTO.  Learn valuable new skills that RoverTown engineers & designers used to grow our software to millions of delicious lines of code.

This awesome opportunity requires the following skills:

  • HTML5
  • Experience with Bootstrap
  • Responsive design
  • Proficient using common design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator etc.)
  • GIT version control
  • Good sense of UX
  • Ability to design a good UI

Social Media and You


You’re getting older. Dropping the F bomb and posting blacked out pictures on social media outlets may not be the greatest ideas anymore. Your future employers and managers are creeping on you! Clean up your Facebook and Twitter with these helpful hints.

According to surveys conducted, 37% of hiring managers use social media to pre-screen job applicants. You want to represent yourself as “hireable” on your social media sites so you can reflect someone who is desirable for the workplace.

Before hitting send or post, ask yourself “What do I want to be known for?”.  Good judgement will always trump even the toughest privacy settings.

If you are applying for a position closely pertaining to the social media world, keep your online persona relative. Your posts could be shared to an audience other than your own.

Cleaning up your social media presence could be an easy and painless method of snagging your next job. Once your profile is clean, following company profiles will allow you to stay up on company developments and new job openings!
