Super Bowl

Did you know, the Super Bowl is measured in Roman numerals because a football season runs over two calendar years?

Rover dug up many more fun facts and numbers to entertain your Super Bowl party. (BTW: The average number of people at any given Super Bowl Party is 17).

Food is an instrumental piece to any party. Typically, 1.25 billion chicken wings and 8 million pounds of guacamole are consumed on Super Bowl Sunday. New Year’s resolution..? What’s that?

From just snacks, the average fan will consume 1,200 calories. But don’t let that get you down. In fact, vegetables happen to be the top food eaten in homes during the Super Bowl! Way to go, America!

Most viewers plan to watch the Super Bowl either at home or at friends’ homes. On the other hand, not everyone has the day off from work. Domino’s delivery guys will deliver 9 million pieces of pizza to hungry football fans.

Of those who plan to watch the game, 21% would skip an important work responsibility to actually go to the Super Bowl. This might be due to the fact that the NFL has a policy against holding Super Bowl games in stadiums that have a climate of <50 degrees Fahrenheit. Super Bowl XLVII in 50+ degree weather OR delivering pizzas.. Maybe you won’t get your pizza, after all.
